			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The architectural style of the 18th and 19th centuries is closely associated with sash windows. Their large panels of glass within gracefully proportioned frames offered an attractive and functional alternative to casement windows.</p>
<p>Despite much debate, the sash window is now thought to have originated in Yorkshire, England. Sash windows were designed to allow a small gap for ventilation without letting in the rain, and were also less prone to rotting and distortion due to their enclosure within a box.</p>
<p>Sash windows offered both practical advantages and a more pleasing style than older window designs, and they were popular in both new buildings and as stylish replacements in existing homes. Many were later removed, however in order to avoid paying the window tax of the late 18th/early 19th centuries. The Georgian sash window took on the modern double sash form. Blown glass with bull&#8217;s eye markings were the most common form, but still expensive. As better methods of making large panes were found, windows with six panels in each sash appeared, becoming characteristic of the Georgian sash window. They became a key part of Regency architecture.</p>
<p>The popularity of these windows have remained strong during the Victorian age, but they were ornamented with elaborate decorations. Gradated windows, diminishing in size with the height of the building, and large bay windows are characteristic of this period. Four paned sashes are more common in houses built at this time. While the absence of glazing bars was originally a status symbol, many people put in windows that imitated older styles once sheet glass had become cheaper and more commonly used during the late 19th century.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.henryjamessashwindows.co.uk/products/sash-windows/sash-windows.html">Sash windows</a> have become far less common during the last century, despite being the favorite style at the beginning of the 20th century, due to the increase in cheap, mass-produced styles of window. Recently people have begun to take an interest in the historic character of their homes, resulting in greater demand for traditional style sash windows. Sash windows today use all the latest technology, but retain the elegance and functionality of traditional sashes, and preserve the historic style of the older houses.</p>

Attending seminars and forums can also help you gain knowledge and information about real estate investing.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">DJ Research head Anthony Duggan has said that he is expecting <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">London</st1:place></st1:city> to become the leader in the recovery process of occupational market with growth in rent supposed to happen in double digits in the city. He also added a warning, that even though <st1:country-region w:st="on">United Kingdom</st1:country-region>&#8217;s investment market will see the start of levelling out of its yield levels, it might not be easy for recovery from any other location outside the city of <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">London</st1:place></st1:city>.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">There is a trend consistent throughout the report that in most of the important regional centres rental growth might not increase during 2010. Despite these, prime rents will experience a steady increase all through the year and is supposed to close at an average 5.5%</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Scotland</st1:place></st1:country-region>&#8217;s market is providing a different view altogether. <p>Some of the unsafe situations above are inherent in the type of roof you choose. For example metal roofs are well known for being slippery to walk on. They can be impossible if there is any moisture on them AT ALL, even a little dew.</p>
